I used my AGMs for house batteries in my motorhome not for starting. AGMs are mostly used in rvs for house battery duties. Also boats and airplanes. In my opinion they are the perfect battery for green stations. That are basically advanced gel cells. I got over 8 years out of mine so I'm not sure longetivity should be an issue. The upside of using them with your K line is that they can sit right in your shack with no issues of out gassing etc. when I bought mine back in 03, the guy brought on out and dumped it upside down on the ground. You can't do that with flooded lead acid batteries. With a good inverter your k rigs will run just fine.
