Ah, that explains why this seemed like a relatively new phenomenon! I recently taught myself to return those controls to zero when leaving the remote site in order to prevent the remote connection from starting up with non-zero noise regardless of the position on the control K3's controls. Using the position of the controls on the remote K3 at start-up is OK, although not what I would have done. Reverting to it every time the SUB goes on or off is just plain wrong. Is a fix in the domain of Elecraft or microbit?
