In Theoretical Physics it is common to use what physicists call "God Given" natural units where constants like C for the speed of light or h-bar are set to 1 (without units).
In this system, Power, which is [Energy] divided by [Time], is actually Inverse [Time]-Squared. This is because Energy has the same units as inverse time. Thus, Power can be expressed in Seconds to the minus 2 power. 73, phil, K7PEH On Dec 3, 2013, at 7:49 AM, WILLIAM DAVIS <[email protected]> wrote: > I always express power in ohms. ;-) > > Bruce AC8BT > On Dec 2, 2013, at 11:30 PM, [email protected] wrote: > >> George, >> >> I have doubts about any engineer who expresses power in volts. >> >> 73, >> Don W3FPR > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[email protected] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
