Hi all; It has been a week or so since my question but have not had time to give an update. First, I received several good suggestions (Wayne/N6KR suggested that check the settings for the filters, and Brian/K3KO mentioned that it might be a squelch problem), unfortunately nothing helped, and in searching each parameter I found even more rare behaviors! My last resort was to load up a previous saved configuration (also suggested by Olaf/LA3RK). I loaded my last config file--and everything worked great! I only had to return the Dual Passband setting and the CW pitch to where I had them and I was content!
I live in a not-so-good location for ham radio (mountains on all sides!), but even with time off to help around the house to get things ready for the holidays I still had time to make 112 contacts during the 10m contest to get Hidalgo at least activated! Thanks for all of the advice. It is good to belong to a group to which you can turn to the members for help, especially here where there are so few clubs!
