It has been 30+ years since I owned & used a bug but I would give it
a go if it was a KX3 option.

My Lionel J-36 disappeared while I was in SE Asia many years ago but I had already built a vacuum tube keyer and had rapidly lost my "bug-fist" [such as it ever was]. A friend who had been a Coast Guard Radioman gave me his Vibroplex a number of years ago which I still have.

I'm left-handed but I usually paddle right, pencil or mouse in left [works best when I guest op too, most stations are right-handed]. While I finally gave up being able to send right-handed with either bug or keyer, I found I could use the bug acceptably left-handed. I don't have a KX3 but I do have a K3, K2, and KX1, and it would be a nice operating feature for the K3 [K2 and KX1 aren't going to change :-)]. Others have asked for an Ultimatic mode too.
