Mike,

No way that I know of, and because the sub-bands vary between countries and license classes, it would take a lot of "figuring out" for the Elecraft folks to implement something like that automatically.

You might think about using the M1 - M4 memory buttons to do something similar. These are per-band memories, so you have 4 for each band.

On each band, I have M1 set up to take me to near my commonly used CW frequencies (remember that there are 2 VFOs in each memory, so you can get to 2 favorite frequencies with the A/B button too). M2 is set for my common SSB operating spots for each band. M3 sets me to my frequently used Data Mode frequencies.

You might want to consider setting VFO A to the lower band limit for your license class and VFO B to the upper limit, or anything else that 'meets your fancy'.

For me, M4 is reserved to set "on the fly" to any frequency I might want to return to quickly.

Set up the VFO, mode, split, filter, etc for both VFOs before storing. It takes a bit of effort to do all bands that way, but once set up, it can stay in existence for a long time.

Sorry if this has been hashed out before.

Is there a way to setup or configure the K3 to toggle modes as you tune
say CW at the low end of the band, and automatically toggling to SSB at the
appointed sub band transition?
