Sure. As long as you do not overwrite them with macros. ;-)
Yes, you can then assign M1-M4 to CW/voice messages again but then your
macros are gone again.
Doesn't solve the original "problem". It's either or. But of course you
can mix them, i.e. M1+M2 for macros and M3+M4 for CW/voice messages. You
just don't have 4 then.

correct, you'll "loose" the voice memories then. But you know there's
PF1/PF2 for macros available on the front panel, too, right? Might
save you from needing to assign to M1-M4 if 2 are enough. ;-)
