Carl,

There should be another number on it proceeded by a + or -. The 2.7 kHz is the width, not the offset. I don't know where they are marking the offset on the filter at the present time, but those at Elecraft support should be able to tell you.

That other number should be in the range of -1.28 to +.25.
If it really is marked with an offset of 2.7 kHz, it is a marking mistake and you should contact Elecraft to arrange a swap with one that is properly marked.
