I have one made from 1" (1.125" OD) copper pluming pipe and 45 degree elbows and tuned with a vacuum variable cap. I use it when I am in temporary lodging during extended out-of-state contracts. It performs very well and can be camouflaged on a balcony with the plastic vines and flowers . I also have a Little Tarheal II mounted on a heavy duty stage speaker tripod with six 25' steel measuring tapes as pull-out radials. When pressed because of antenna restrictions or logistics, hams will try to load a strand os wet spaghetti!
