Dear fellow Elecraft fans, When I change bands on my K3 with the front BAND button, my K3 sometimes “forgets” the last used mode on a band that I might return to. For example, when switching to 40 m from a higher band, I sometimes look over at my K3 display and see “USB” mode selected for 40 m rather than “LSB”. When going from 40 m to 20 m, I sometimes see “LSB” selected for 20 m rather than “USB”.
I have my K3 connected to my Mac and run a logging program which can control the K3, but I have experienced this behavior even when the logging program was not running. Happens so seldom that it doesn’t bother me at all … though if I am not hearing anyone clearly I look over to see which mode is showing on the display.
