For sale: K2 serial number 1073 with the following options: KSB2,
K160RX, KNB2, KAF2, KIO2, KAT2
I purchased the radio in March 2000 and built it over the next month or
so. I am the builder and sole owner. It has been operated in a
completely smoke free environment.

The radio is a 10 operationally and produces 13 to 15 watts on all bands
save 160 where there is 11 watts. This is an A model K2 with the
following modifications:
2nd XFIL Tuning Mod
K2 Frequency Shift on Transmit (Builder Alert #16)
Alternative wiring for K2' AF Gain Control
Cosmetically, the radio is a 9.9 out of 10. On the left side skin,
there is a barely discernible 2" scrape on the paint with no metal
visible. After 5 years of use, a close inspection will show a very few
ding marks on the skins. I have taken very good care of this baby.
The original construction manuals are included for the main radio and
options. The KAF2 instructions were downloaded from the Elecraft site
and printed locally.
Included with the K2 is a set of extended side panels that I purchased
from a third party a couple of years ago. These panels have counter
sunk screw holes and are used in lieu of the existing side panels. They
provide some protection for knobs and BNC plugs that stick out from the
main radio body by extending the sides approximately 1" to the front and
7/8" to the rear.
