Jonathan, I have seen a similar problem when something was shorted on the control or front panel board which results in excessive current drawn from the 5 volt supply line - the result is too low a voltage to the microprocessor. (but not a direct short to ground).
You should have measured the resistance of the 5A line to ground when you completed the Front Panel, so check it again with the 3 boards assembled. A suitable point to measure is the OUT (uppermost) lead of U5 on the control board - you should find a resistance in the 15-40K ohms range. 73, Don W3FPR > -----Original Message----- > > I am currently building my second K2, #5113 (first is #4853).
