And, make sure you have the latest version of the Utility for your platform.. the Utility itself is updated/modified from time to time.

P.S. It's not a bad idea to store a copy of your config file for the KX3 on a thumb drive... so you can import it to whatever computer you might use in the future. And, keep the config file up to date too.

Re-download the update file and try again. The failure indicates that the firmware in the device is invalid, but the boot loader appears to be fine. In general, this sort of problem will occur when the file you are trying to install is bad. So, redo the download to make sure you have a good file and try again.
