I suppose they could install a two-button push for
power, as on the KX3, but that would bring other
complaints, I reckon -- since some KX3 users don't
like that approach -- or so I've read here.

Elecraft have been working on it, probably late

And THAT's the real problem. The K3 has been
around long enough, and had this problem since
day one, that it's pretty obvious Elecraft isn't
interested in fixing it...
