This came up recently w/ the K3 as well, and perhaps a year or two back. It /sounds/ like a tiny relay is clicking in the K3 on t/r switching even though it's all solid-state. Wayne speculated that the sound might be coming from relay springs re-balancing slightly in response to associated voltage changes on the power rails. I don't believe it's been tested further. Perhaps you're hearing something similar from the KPA500. -kb7psg
