Been running tests and swapping mail w/ Gary at Elecraft trying to solve my sudden low output problem (had been getting 3 or 4 W but suddenly only 0.5W, with external 12V battery) Then Paul, WD8OJL said,
When I installed 30m module i had exactly same syptoms as you describe. Found that longest bare jumper on 30 meter module was contacting a pin on board near TX section close to where it was soldered onto board. Maybe yours got jarred or pressed down in that area some how. And that turned out to be exactly my problem! Interesting that I built this kit in May, 2003 and it took 2 1/2 years for the wire to finally make contact. Goes to show ya, Elecrafters help each other.
