These, and most other common connectors, are defined by IEC Standards, which include drawings of the connectors. First quality manufacturers follow those standards. "No name vendors may not. 3.5mm and 1/8-in should be viewed as "names" for them, not precise dimensions.

The only high quality manufacturers I know of for these (and for most audio connectors) are Switchcraft and Neutrik. W6XU is in manufacturing, and may know of other good sources.
