I just went through the same thing with my KX3. The problem was caused
by HRD. If you're using HRD try moving the "Low Pwr Slider" to 12Watts
and see if that does the trick. You will see ATU on the KX3's screen.
Also the KX3 menu will drop the .X and become just ATU MD.
I really like HRD for logging but it doesn't get along with KX3 very well.
