Possibly the best option for the K3 (beyond a good set of filters) has to be the KRX3 sub receiver, in my opinion.
I have found this especially helpful in quickly and easily finding the worked station for split operations. With all of the W1AW/x operations this year--most of them running split--being able to listen to them in one ear and search for the portion of the band "up" where they are working has been an invaluable time saver and increased my successful QSO rate. It's the same case when DX stations are calling on one frequency and listening elsewhere. I can just quickly tune the sub and find the QSX frequency within 2-3 calls usually. Win! It was a tough decision for me when I was building my K3 system. I wasn't sure if I wanted to choose the P3 or the KRX3 (and I couldn't afford both). I went with the KRX3 and feel like I made the right decision for me. What a great accessory! 73 -john W4PAH Madison, WI ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to arch...@mail-archive.com
