I tried to replicate your problem but didn't observe what you describe. In each case the MKR A followed the band I selected. I rarely use the markers so I wouldn't have noticed anything in the past. You could try a Parameter initialization (P3 Manual, page 28) but you would have to re-enter all the non-default menu parameters and function key assignments.
