I'm using LP-Pan2, NaP3, and an M-Audio Delta card in my Win7 computer
with the signal from the K3 IF out. I use microHAM Device Router [comes
with my CW keyer] for linking the K3, NaP3, and N1MM [for contesting].
This package runs flawlessly for both general operating and contesting.
I did not get a P3 for space reasons; don't know what it can and cannot
do. Others will no doubt fill in this gap. The above combination is very
versatile in my operating environment, and at this point I can't imagine
operating without it. In a contest, it's a game changer IMHO. The pan
display is on the same monitor as all other operating related programs,
and this has not presented any problems, even in contest conditions. I
gather that the P3 is a turnkey approach and works right out of the box.
That's an advantage. Assembling the various components for a "unique"
pan installation is a bit tricky, no doubt; it was for me. This occurs
because each component has its own setup parameters, and getting all the
parameters from various elements to work together does take some time
and help. Once its properly organized/setup it's transparent, or at
least it is here.
