Thanks for all the replies, gentlemen! Certainly gives me food for thought. I do want the kpa500. I love building Elecraft kits. One more question: is there a tuner inside that amp? How does it auto-tune? And if so - does that mean that I will have 3 tuners? KAT3, KAT500 and whatever tuner is in the amp? And also, is KAT500 pretty much a must?
Does anyone know if Elecraft actually has any plans to put out higher powered amp anytime soon?
