A xxxx and his money are easily separated. In many respects, UHF connectors are superior to Type N -- certainly with respect to power handling, and the well known Type N issue with "creep" as the cable stretches.

7/16-in connectors are certainly a fine connector, but they are not cheap, and the UHF-series is entirely satisfactory for use below 100 MHz in PRACTICAL systems. (caps added for emphasis).
