When the KX3 is NOT switched to 2 meters (or 4 meters), the KX3-2M/4M module is turned completely off, adding no current drain of its own.
When 2 m (or 4 m) is selected, the module adds a little over 100 mA, nominally. However, in FM mode, "SLEEP" settings can be used to drop the effective receive current drain of the module to as little as 20 mA.
