I really like mine for mobile operations.   Removes hiss and other disturbances 
in the audio.   I never tried it with the K3 as it is a mono speaker.

I rarely use Cans anymore to listen to the K3 as I added external speakers and 
I find that easier to listen that way.   When I used Cans lightning was 
happening I tired quickly.

If you do go that route I would first get good external speakers the if still 
needed get the external DSP units as the speakers in the units are good for 
mobile I am not sure I would be satisfied with them in the shack.

I also have a GAP or BHI unit and the West Mountain has a better sound and 
speaker.  The GAP sounds distorted at higher volumes when there is louder road 
noise.
