Good Evening,
The local grouse have ceased drumming. I can only hear them in the distance now. Today I saw my first pair of Western Tanager <http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/western_tanager/id> They enjoy the Doug fir canopy for its insect populations. Spotting a male is fairly simple when they are out in the open :)

Propagation has been up and down this week. Noise from local and distant storms is increasing each week. With the longer days the higher bands are opening and lasting later into the evening; sunspot activity has increased the QSB as well. Three large groups have sprouted in the last couple of days. Maybe a flare is in the making.

Please join us tomorrow.

    73,
        Kevin. KD5ONS
