Following the advice in the manual, I was using my K3 to monitor the audio while I set the TX EQ in my new KX3. I had the KX3 at 5 watts into a dummy load and was receiving a strong signal through the outside 20M wire beam. I discovered I could use the P3 display of the signal to make sure I was getting power in the speech frequencies most responsible for intelligibility. It was quite useful when combined with listening to the audio. The result is also getting good on-air audio reports.
