It works fine, but if you're a cw op, don't expect QSK operation without some extra hardware. With my AL-811H, I also used the Ameritron QSK-5 (with appropriate mod to AL-811H) to achieve QSK. It worked very well -- but not *quite* as very well as the KPA500 which I'm using now ;-)
