I hadn't been into my K2 for about a year.  Got the K6XX SMD version and was 
going to check out the installation site.  I first took  the top and the 100 
watt amp module off.  When I picked up the remainder I heard a little rattle.  
A little rig shaking and I could hear something rolling around.  It was one of 
the black screws accompanied by a internal tooth lock washer trapped between 
the control board and the main board..
I was fortunate that the hardware didn't short something out.
Lesson:  after working on your equipment, give it a good shake through several 
axes for rattles.  A dropped screw could ruin an otherwise nice day.
