Interesting observations. As one example of "wish list" items that is
particularly close for me is my requests for the keying algorithms be
expanded to include Ultimatic keying. I have been asking for that
since the early days of the K2, but so far has not been forthcoming. I
guess there are not enough other 'squeaky wheels' out there to make it
to the list of priority changes.
I really don't mind because I have resigned myself to the use of single
lever paddles. It would be nice to be able to do dot/dash insertions
that are possible with Ultimatic keying, but I simply cannot do Iambic
keying with dual lever paddles.
Maybe someday Wayne will have time to add it, but I am not holding my
breath, and I don't think my K2, K3 and KX3 are poorer transceivers
because my request has not been implemented - there are other more
important things "on the list".

As outside observer, it seems the K3 is more of a process than a
product. I doubt it will ever be a finished product, with a static
list of features and capabilities.
Instead, one buys into an ongoing, organic, developing process. It has
never been "finished" and likely never will. You either accept the
process or maybe you don't because they spend more time developing
features you are not interested in, whilst the one's you desire
remains on the wish list.
