Hi Paul. First you have to make sure you have the lower area visible on the external monitor. If not, turn it on in the SVGA section of the P3 menu.
Next, be sure that you can see decoded text on the K3 lower display. If not, turn it on by holding the CWT button and rotating the VFO B dial until it says ON. Then adjust the threshold accordingly with the VFO A dial. My threshold is on 3.
