I strongly recommend doing the temperature compensation. On 6 meters this will leave you something like just +/- 3 Hz of "hunting."

I have run tests on 6m at 5w simulating JT65 operation:
Before doing the Temp Comp drift was up to 54-Hz
After it was a couple Hz as Wayne stated. My test shows a big "bump" in the drift curves which I suspect is a bad temp point in the compensation process. I will repeat Temp Comp to see it this artifact disappears.
