It's possible that a thin Mylar washer between the legs & knobs would prevent 
movement of the legs from tightening or loosening the knobs. I don't find it 
necessary to have the leg pivot knobs more than finger tight when the legs are 
stowed or deployed. Loosening both knobs slightly before moving the legs and 
snugging them once the legs are in the desired position eliminates the minor 
annoyance for me.
