Jim, It's advisable to do the "opposite sideband reduction" procedure also listed in the PX3 manual. What this buys you is the elimination of extra bogus signals that show up on the PX3 display which are generated inside the KX3. The adjustment actually adjusts the KX3 by using the built in signal generator and software control of the PX3.
