Well, for one thing, if he bought his K-line new Elecraft should be able to verify that much. I would think that other hams who live in that area and know him could confirm or deny whether this is a legitimate posting.
Per one of Jim K9YC's follow ups "the original post to Tower Talk was by W4GMH, who said he was posting it "to help out one of the local guys." Anyone know W4GMH to confirm things with him?
