Gee after reading several pages of discourse on split - I have reached the
conclusion that it really was all the radios fault when in the heat of
battle or a quick band change ( Hey the bandswitch buttons on the KPA are
worth the price of the KPA for that alone !!!!) I did not notice I lost the
split - Good to know it was not me .
nothing is my fault anymore - sound familiar ???

I argued for this a long time ago, but Eric and others convinced me that a
flashing Delta-F LED would be "too" (!) annoying. Maybe they will recant,
given this discussion.
