I look at the state of the art, which is currently represented by Elecraft.

My K3 driving a KPA-500 to 550W or Ten Tec Titan to 1500W is 420 Hz at -50dBC, 610 Hz wide at -60 dBC, as measured on my other K3 with SVGA. :) And that's with the original synth boards in both radios. New ones on order. :)
