Drivers for the FTDI devices have been built into OS X since at least 10.9 (might be 10.8). You won’t even need to download drivers from FTDI to make them work. I have had no problems at all with testing of El Capitan and these devices. The expected experience will continue to be, just plug it in and it will work.
