A better solution than disabling AGC altogether may be to customize it to your needs. The K3 AGC is very configurable. The following article on Don's webpage is very informative:http://www.w3fpr.com/K3_AGC.htm Also, I would suggest checking out Fred Cady's book on K3 or KX3. I'd be quite surprised if Fred didn't do a full write-up on AGC configuration, together with some nice diagrams.
