Hi Tom, My first reaction is that they won’t charge you anything unless you plan on selling it there, i.e., you’re not importing it. If it’s your personal property and you’re taking it home with you it’s the same as all the other things you’re bringing with you.
Of greater importance is knowing about licensing agreements and what you need to know to legally operate from Italy.
