Neither. Get a good "antenna" launcher so you can get some wire up in the air. Lower cost and better value if you want a "portable" station. A friend has a pneumatic launcher and he is happy with it.

Hello all, I am very new to the HF world and slowly putting together a portable station. I'm looking for some advice on my next move. I currently have a KX3 (installed KXFL3, KXAT3, KXBC3, KX3-2M), the Elecraft MH3 microphone and a Buddipole deluxe antenna (with extras for different configurations). I also have batteries and solar panels for external power. The two items I have been looking at are the following: 1. PX3 Panadapter 2. AA-170 Antenna analyzer Which of these would probably provide the highest return for the investment? Thanks in advance for all the advice. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [email protected] ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [email protected]
