*Back in 2009, I had a direct lightning hit on an antenna that was disconnected from my K3. The path to ground was over to the telephone line, computer, ethernet cable to another computer, RS232 cable and into the K3. Did a fair amount of damage. Looking back, a disconnect of ALL may have been a good ides.* *BUT, I still don't do it. :-)*
