I took your advice and reduced the number of variables. With the KAT2
removed and no amp I found that I do get output in the 2-3W range:
Requested K2 Reading V^2/R
1.0 0.6 0.82
1.5 1.0 1.04
2.0 1.3 1.38
2.5 1.8 1.80
3.0 2.3 2.30
3.5 2.4 2.38
I get similar results with the amp in line but not on and when the amp
is on. 2.5W actual drives the amp to 35.3W out on 40m. There is some
expected discrepancy between the requested and actual output of the K2,
but I now know how to compensate for it. I decided to go through
readjusting the KAT2 again when I reconnected it, and discovered that I
can't adjust C55 to move the reading from HI in CALn. So now I'm
digging into that problem which is no doubt what led me to my original
issue.
