I have the 4 per-band memories on my K3 set up to set modes and
go to appropriate parts of the band. For 160M through 10M, I use
one for CW, one for DATA A one for AFSK and one for SSB. I set
them up through the front panel, without the use of a computer
and they seem to do the job.

I know that I can store data as a mode in a memory but when I recall it,
sometimes it comes back as Data A, and other times as AFSK A. I easily just
re select the Data A mode for data but I don't understand why it changes
data modes.
Can I default or store the data mode as A?
