Chuck, Before you give up on radio hobby, *Amateur Radio Parity Act of 2015*, H.R.1301 (do not remember number for Senate version) is winding it way through Congress. This bill requires home owners associations to make reasonable (what ever that means) accommodations for amateur radio antennas due to the essential role amateur radio has played in recent disasters.
