Since that builder was able to swap the wrong standoff for the right one, I think the inventory would have been correct, but that builder simply selected the wrong one during his assembly process. Not an uncommon occurrence - no "lawyering" required. 1/32" difference is difficult for some to discern visually - measurement may be required.

OTOH, if a wrong part was supplied, [email protected] is available to provide the right part quickly.

Sorry about that . . . Someone once said that it’s a lawyer’s job to worry
about things that aren’t going to happen.
