That sounds suspiciously like an entirely Windows 10 issue. Click on settings.
In the "find a setting" box type "volume" without the quotes. The window will switch to a new label "Search Results". click on "Adjust system volume" You should get a new panel labeled "Volume Mixer". Your sound device should be listed. If not, click on the "find and fix audio playback problems" line under Search Results. Hope that helps.
