I’m having problems maintaining the remote PC that I control my KPA/KAT500 with. Before I headed south for the winter I controlled the amp and tuner with the laptop I use via another laptop over my lan to simulate remoting. I tried booting it every morning as a cautionary measure. It ran for over two months without a lockup. After I headed south less then a week later I lost it. When this happens I default to 110 watt mode, the remoterig boxes work flawlessly with the K3. Last time this happened I found the laptop had a s/w failure and all I had to do was reboot it. I’m sure I will find the same thing when I go up there for a visit. I’m looking for a different solution to control the amp and tuner with. I could get a remoterig box to control the amp and tuner, but I’m also looking for other solutions. I remember reading about a way to use the K3 via macros to control the amp and tuner but now can’t locate this info. Anyone know where I can find the procedure to do this with a macro in the K3? I will be up there for a few weeks and would like to try this approach first before I buy the additional remoterig boxes. Thanks for any help....
