When I ordered my K3 13 months ago, I spent time talking it through with one of the guys at Elecraft. I considered swapping the 2.7 for the 2.8 filter, but didn't. Now I don't see a reason to and am glad I didn't bother.
As for the 250 CW filter, I do contest, but have used it maybe once or twice since I've had the radio. If I had it to do over again, I would have stopped at the 400hz filter.
