Jer, AFAIK, the only way HRD/DM780 sends CW is in DATA A mode and sends audio tones to the transceiver. That will not produce CW sidetone. There are a few other applications - K3 Utility Terminal window for instance, that send CW by sending KY commands to the K3S.
